Brick Layers Release as Open Source

The strongest way to print walls now open source via a 3rd party script

Brick Layers are a novel 3D printing slicing method that improves layer adhesion by shifting the printing order of perimeters. This creates an interlocking pattern between layers, similar to a brick wall, which increases the surface area for bonding and potentially strengthens the part. The method involves printing every other perimeter line at a slightly offset height, resulting in a staggered pattern. This approach has been shown to increase layer adhesion by up to 14% in some materials, such as PLA and PETG.

A CNC Kitchen video from about a year ago introduced the concept to most makers.

More recently Geek Detour video deeply went into the concept and why it’s not publicly available in most slicers.

A video outlining how the script works is here and below

Get the script from Github here and follow along with the readme to get up and running.
